Help Dream Wedding & Out-of-State Move

Hi, folks! If you are here, you likely already know us. We’re Terrance & Adriana. The picture above is from 2022 when we first started dating. Now, here we are getting ready to be married! Therefore, this page was put together as a faithful attempt to help finance our soon-to-come wedding, honeymoon, first-year marriage, and moving expenses. We have a rare, fairytale-esque love & adventure! Join along as we tell you a little about it...

We met in 2018 in San Francisco. In fact, we didn't formally meet, but rather Adriana was introduced to me from afar by the heartfelt words of others' sharing during a farewell party for me at church. Immediately, a thought sparked for Adriana that maybe she and I could one day be something. Little did either of us know what would unfold!

Fast forward 2019, we were asked to help support a church plant in the Midwest to Indianapolis, Indiana alongside a dozen others. Although we were acquainted and in the same church, we didn't have an actual friendship, and also happened to be dating other people then. Now, there we are both in Indianapolis; we lived there from 2019-2021; we are friends with each other's friends; and even our exes were friends. Nevertheless, Adriana and I - for whatever reason - did not speak. It was as though we were blind to one another.

Now it’s 2021, we are again asked if we'd like to support another church plant in Detroit, Michigan. Being involved in our faith and ministry, we decide to come. At this point our previous relationships had ended, so an opportunity presents itself for us to become co-leaders of a ministry group at the University of Michigan. It was then, unbeknownst to us, authentic friendship, wonderment, and romance would begin to colorfully blossom.

We were looking for love and found each other...

Yet, the story doesn't stop! Update: As of July 2024, we’ve been asked to move to Columbus, Ohio and assume the leadership of our sister church there. Gladly, we accept this honor as we believe this calling for ministry is from God, not man. But as you might imagine, making this move in the middle of planning our wedding, honeymoon, and setting ourselves up for marriage is a great task. We are humbled God would call us now. Please, whatever your heart decides to give in regard to this goal, it means the world to us. We believe God will work on our behalf through you all, our family and friends’ generosity.

We are a Californian couple turn Midwesterners who have humbly set our lives aside to do God's work. Our hearts are honest when we say this is a team effort! Since our wedding is September 5th, and we'll be in Ohio shortly after our honeymoon, our goal is to fundraise $7500 by September 1st. We can assure donations will go to exactly what is asked of here.
