Midwifes don't get maternity leave. This postpartum time needs to be healing and supported so she may take proper care. For this, she needs to be with her body and baby, while knowing the rest of her children are being cared for.
For the first three sacred months she will be unable to work and attend births.
These funds will ensure the safety of her and her children in a time of uncertainty, so she may rest and her babies thrive. They will go towards postpartum services, monthly groceries, and rent.
