A Birthday Wish for John and His Mom

Hey y’all,

So, John is turning 10 years old soon. His birthday is on April 30th, and I want more than anything to give him a celebration that makes him feel loved, special, and seen.

As a mom in recovery, I’ve been working hard to build a life rooted in honesty, love, and stability. I’ve come a long way, and every day I choose to stay on this path—not just for me, but for my kids.

Like many families, we’re facing tough financial times. I have a limited income, and while I make every dollar stretch, there’s just not enough left over for anything extra. That’s why I’m reaching out for support. I’m hoping to raise $300 to help cover the cost of a small party, a few gifts, and maybe even an experience that he’ll always remember.

This isn’t easy to ask, but I know that there are people out there who believe in second chances, in the power of community, and in celebrating the good in the world—like a little boy turning 10 and a mom doing her best every day to stay on track.
