Zeus and Athena Surprise Medical Expense

I can’t believe I’m doing this again. Honestly, I’m sick to my stomach over it. This came as a complete surprise as we’ve been dealing with Athena’s medical issues. Out if the blue Zeus stopped eating or passing stool. Only come to find out that he’s been poisoned by eating a type of palm tree on the yard. He isn’t processing nutrients, and has an inflamed liver and kidneys. Honestly, at this point there’s a 35-50 percent survival rate. Zeus the German Shepard  was born on Christmas Eve, 2018. He’s not even 2 years old. And honestly one of the most timid dogs of his size I’ve ever encountered. He’s also been a wonderful brother to Athena and watching over her while she’s been struggling with her seizures. We are told he has a better survival rate if we keep him monitored at the hospital.  There is zero obligation to help our family out, but I thought it was worth a try. If you already donated towards Athena, know that any of her extra went to Zeus already! If he survives he likely will live with liver damage.
