The Skate Escape for USP & Ben Raemers Foundation
Donation protected
A group of skateboarders including Jak Tonge and Jacob Skinner are teaming up to skate the gruelling 50+ miles between The Level, Brighton and Croxtons Kitchen and Tap House, Southsea to raise both awareness and funds for The Undercover Skatepark Project and The Ben Raemers Foundation.
With a target of £5k, money raised will be split equally between the 2 causes which play a big part in the lives of the team.
The Undercover Skatepark Project is a new state of the art skatepark being planned for Portsmouth. A purpose- built, covered space in the heart of the community running sessions for all ages and abilities, it has a goal of hosting large scale competitions and jams. This is set to be the largest skatepark on the south coast; built by skateboarders for skateboarders.
The Ben Raemers Foundation aims to end the stigma and burden that so often surrounds mental health and suicide by bringing awareness to the forefront of the wider skateboarding community. In May 2019, at the age of 28, professional skateboarder Ben Raemers took his own life. His passion for life and skateboarding has always been contagious and Ben will be remembered by all as an inspiration. With so many facing mental health struggles, we are proud to back this cause alongside the most exciting skatepark build we know of!
Thank you for your support.
Skateboarders: Jak Tonge, Jacob Skinner, Isaac Miller, Paul Clilverd, Sam Greest and Joe Porter.
Sponsors: Bored of Southsea, Wooden Wife, Croxtons Kitchen and Tap House, Sea Dog Print Studio.
