Hi. My name is Blanca Sanoja. 

On Sunday, October 1st, an unknown person filled with anger inflected this physical injury on me, which will change my life forever and today presents me with an overwhelming challenge.

Due to this unfortunate assault, the DISTAL PHALANX of my right middle finger (my dominant hand) was AMPUTATED.

Because the severity of the injury, I haven’t been able to work to earn money and meet my medical bills and my financial obligations. My health insurance does not cover all the expenses, and some procedures require a 25% copayment. That’s why I’m reaching out to the generous help of my family, friends, acquaintances, and kind-hearted people to support me financially during this very challenging time.

I have had two appointments with the surgeon, one on October 11th, and the other on October 25th, 2023. In both appointments, the Doctor assessed the condition of my finger and is of the opinion to allow its natural healing process. In the X-rays, the Doctor observed remnants of pulverized bones, which, if not naturally expelled, would require surgical intervention. I must be at rest and take care of my finger for 8 to 12 weeks until it fully heals.

Music has always been my passion, and playing the guitar and the cuatro was one of my greatest pleasures. God gave me the gift of playing a musical instrument and being able to bring joy to people through music. Now, with pain and frustration, that joy has been taken away from me. However, I know that I will somehow play the guitar and the cuatro again, because they are a part of my life.

I sincerely appreciate any contribution you can make to help me on this difficult journey. Even $5 goes towards something. El domingo 1 de octubre, una persona desconocida llena de ira me infligió esta lesión física, que cambiará mi vida para siempre y hoy me presenta un desafío abrumador.

Debido a este desafortunado asalto, se amputó la FALANGE DISTAL de mi dedo medio derecho (mi mano dominante).

Debido a la gravedad de la lesión, no he podido trabajar para ganar dinero y cubrir mis gastos médicos y obligaciones financieras. Mi seguro de salud no cubre todos los gastos, y algunos procedimientos requieren un copago del 25%. Es por eso que estoy buscando la generosa ayuda de mi familia, amigos, conocidos y personas de buen corazón para apoyarme financieramente en este momento tan desafiante.

He tenido dos citas con el cirujano, una el 11 de octubre y la otra el 25 de octubre de 2023. En ambas citas, el médico evaluó la condición de mi dedo y es de la opinión de permitir su proceso de curación natural. En las radiografías, el doctor observó restos de huesos pulverizados, que, si no son expulsados de forma natural, requerirían una intervención quirúrgica. Debo descansar y cuidar mi dedo durante 8 a 12 semanas hasta que se cure por completo.

La música siempre ha sido mi pasión, y tocar la guitarra y el cuatro fue uno de mis mayores placeres. Dios me dio el don de tocar un instrumento musical y de poder llevar alegría a las personas a través de la música. Ahora, con dolor y frustración, esa alegría me ha sido arrebatada. Sin embargo, sé que de alguna manera volveré a tocar la guitarra y el cuatro, porque son parte de mi vida.

Aprecio sinceramente cualquier contribución que puedas hacer para ayudarme en este difícil viaje. Incluso $5 van destinados a algo.
