Spreading Lior's Angel Wings on Kfir and Limor

The goal of this fundraiser is to help Limor and 4-year-old Kfir cope with the loss of their beloved Lior Waitzmann, who was murdered on October 7th, and help the family memorialize him. Any donation will help us reach our goal! Thank you for your support!

A little bit about Lior:
Lior Waitzman, a 3rd -generation Sderot resident, was the youngest in a family of 5 siblings. He was married to Limor, and was the loving father of 4-year-old boy, Kfir. Lior loved music and sports. He worked as a sound editor for Netflix and Apple TV, and designed soundtracks for movies and TV shows. Lior loved his job. His colleagues say he was very dedicated and professional. He even won several awards for his work.
In the past few years, he decided to take his love for sports to a higher level. After having completed a few marathons, he decided to train for the Ironman triathlon. He was hardworking and determined to succeed. Lior dreamed of winning the triathlon!
Lior was the kind of person who makes people drawn to him. He had a big smile and a big heart. People who met him loved him right away. He was always happy to help, kind and patient to everyone and anyone. Many of the people who knew him described him as “an angel”, and shared many stories of how he always had time for them, even though he was very busy balancing his work, his sports, being a loyal friend, and a loving and caring brother, son, husband and father.
In the morning of what was supposed to be a peaceful holiday, Saturday, October 7th, 2023, Lior was riding his bike as part of his training towards fulfilling his dream of competing in the Ironman Triathlon competition, when at around 6:30AM, sirens alarming of the missile attack began. Lior he ducked for cover as not to get hit by missiles or their debris.

After several sirens, Lior decided to head back home, but encountered a terrorist group who shot him. In his last moments he managed to call his wife, Limor, and tell her he was shot and wounded, and asked for her help.
Limor tried tirelessly to reach him, but due to the several terrorist groups spread in the area, she couldn't get to him.
The whole family is devastated. Kfir keeps asking for his dad, and asks why he left them. After his burial, Kfir wanted to give him a hug and a kiss .
After the attack, the whole family, being residents of Sderot (a city very close to the Gaza border that is constantly under missile attacks) have been evacuated from their homes. Till this day they have not been able to go back to their homes.
Our goal is to help the family cope with the financial burden of losing their loved one, and their main provider. Together we can make a small but important difference on their lives by reducing their financial burden.
