Nzingha and Her Children Need Help
Donation protected
Sister Nzingha moved to the Philadelphia area 2 years ago with her children. She has worked hard to provide a stable home for her family and contribute to her community as a teacher at a local Islamic school. She is a woman who prides herself on helping others, but now she needs our help.
A little more than a week ago - during the record low temperatures on the East Coast - the pipes in her apartment froze and busted. As a result, she and her children had to stay in shelter and then a hotel. The apartment is still livable and Sister Nzingha and her children will have to move to a new apartment IMMEDIATELY. This is an expense that she was completely unprepared for because she wasn't expecting to have to move out of her apartment on such short notice. But, with the blistering cold and an uninhabitable apartment Sister Nzingha has not choice but to move right now so that her children can continue living in a warm, stable home.
Moving to a new apartment will require $3200 for the apartment (3 months rent and security deposit), $200 for the moving truck and $100 to set up her utilities.
Any amount you can contribute will be greatly appreciated by Sister Nzingha and her children. I know many of us are scraping by just to cover our own expenses these days, but please consider a small donation to help this family in need of a warm place to live.
Sister Nzingha needs the funds by January 20th in order to move ASAP.
Thank you for your consideration. May you continue to be blessed.
