Primary sclerosing cholangitis. This rare disease of the bile ducts has sadly been affecting this amazing woman for many years. As her friends and family, we must come together for our loved one and help her in her time of need.

For several years, she has been having a procedure done every 6 months to clean out her bile ducts while also checking for cancer. This disease makes cancer a severe possibility. Having this procedure done this frequently puts now a monetary burden on an already difficult situation. At this time, Shelly's disease has escalated. She is now in need of an operation to have her colon removed because she has developed precancerous polyps and ulcerative colitis- this puts her at risk for colon cancer, and also eliminates her chances of obtaining a donor liver, which is vital to save her life. She also has to stay cancer-free for at least 3 years to keep the chance of obtaining her spot on a donor list.
