Sean's Journey to China

Hi family and friends,

Sean has been studying Chinese since he was 6 years old. He has attended Washington Yu Ying public charter school since 2nd grade. It is a Chinese immersion school. This is his last year of elementary school (boy time flies) and as the capstone project, the 5th grade class is traveling to China. The children will attend school and live with a host family.

Learning Chinese has been very hard for Sean. He has struggled tremendously with the language. Despite that, he is very excited about going to China. He believes going to China, staying with a Chinese family and attending school will help him to speak the language much better.

The trip is relatively expensive and will cost over $7,000 (cost for 1 adult, 1 child, plus 1 passport, 2 visas and travel immunizations). We have been hosting fundraisers, but we have not been successful in raising enough funds to cover the total cost of the trip.

Although Sean is very silly, he is extremenly shy, yet he wanted to do the video to ask for your support. Please enjoy Sean's
