Samantha's Neuroendocrine Cancer fund!!

Hi all!! I have been fighting Neuroendocrine/Carcinoid Cancer since 2011, which started in my right lung & spread to my Aorta, Mediastinum, and ribs. I've had to go over a year without getting to see an oncologist or having a PET Scan because I lost my insurance last year. What I desperately need is a Gallium 68 scan, which is readily available in other countries, but only on a very limited basis in the US. Each trial offered here, only allows for 50 patients at a time. I am in constant, & tremendous pain, & my primary care doctor fears that cancer has spread to my spine, & mediastinal lymphnodes. My latest CT scans, over a year ago, showed several leisons in my right ribs, & they cause excruciating, & constant pain. At present, I'm not able to see an oncologist because I don't have one, due to no insurance. I'm presently trying to get blue cross/blue shield thru my husband's work. It will begin May 1. My husband, however, has been offered a better & much SAFER position at a different company & we are not sure what insurance (if any) they offer, or do we know his start date. So, I will lose the Blue Cross/Blue Shield once he changes companies, which is incredibly frustrating. We hate to ask for help, but don't know what else to do. Anything would be a blessing!! This amount would help travel expenses for the scan, the cost of the scan, and doctors visits. This most likely will include travel out of United States due to the scan not being available here. With your help I will be able to get this life saving scan!! This is not something we take lightly, asking for donations. And we will be eternally grateful. God Bless!
