Welcome to the San Mateo High School (SMHS) & Burlingame High School (BHS) Combined Choir Tour Fund Page!
Each year, the SMHS & BHS Combined Choirs, under the direction of Director Shawn Reifschneider and Assistant Director Don Harper, have the opportunity to go on a Choir tour to not only participate in regional music festivals & one-of-a-kind music workshops, but also bond as a group with their fellow classmates and share priceless moments together!
In Spring 2014, the SMHS & BHS Combined Choirs won a total of 5 prestigious awards, the most won in 14 years, at the Anaheim Heritage Festival Awards ceremony after a memorable Choir tour to Southern California, which included visits to Disneyland as well as Cal State Fullerton Music Department.
The SMHS & BHS Choirs hope to go on tour to Southern California in March 2015 & in Spring 2016, to Louisiana, to win more accolades in regional music festivals there.
For the students who are able to participate in this choir tour, it is the experience of a lifetime! However, many students cannot afford the full price of the trip. For many of these students, this is their first trip away from home and one that has a profound influence on their musical dreams and passions.
By donating any amount you can to this fund, you will ensure that every student who wishes to participate in the choir tour is able to do so!
