World Gospel Mission: Project Manuelito- Talanga, Honduras
Over the past year I have had the incredible privilege to see my life transformed before my eyes. Through the GRACE of GOD my life has been restored and redeemed in the most incomprehensible ways! In January of 2018 I embarked on my very first medical mission trip to Haiti, where I served with my church home, Watermark Community Church, at Mission of Hope. To say that my experience in Haiti changed my life... would definitely be an understatement. GOD opened my eyes to an entirely new life.. one that didn't have me at the center... but GOD at the core. Prior to my journey with Christ, I found sadness during a season of singleness. Just like many other adults in my age group, I turned to validation and hope in relationships instead of to GOD. Little did I know, GOD had greater plans for me during this season. After returning home from Haiti, a fire was ignited within me. Haiti was just the catalyst to a calling that has been long placed on my heart.. a life in missions. I have always had a deep desire and calling to serve others. As a nurse I have had the incredible blessing to do so each and every day, yet through my new found relationship with Christ I have realized that I have an innate responsibility to share GOD's love during my time here on Earth. To be the hands and feet of Jesus and to love others as we are called to love:
“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing." ~ 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
Through the incredible blessings and interweaving of GOD'S greater plan for me, I am excited to share with you all the next journey that GOD has placed on my heart. Through a network of connections, I was introduced to this next mission trip opportunity through World Gospel Mission. I will not be traveling with my church home this time, but with an incredible organization none the less. August 25- September 1, 2018, I will be traveling with World Gospel Mission to serve in Talanga Honduras with Project Manuelito. Words don't even begin to do justice to describe the work that GOD is doing in Honduras. This is just a brief description of the incredible story behind Project Manuelito: "Project Manuelito is a ministry to children who have lived in and on the streets of Honduras. Having been homeless as a child himself, Pastor Jorge Pinto led his church in a project to help get kids off the streets. Project Manuelito focuses on housing and caring for both girls and boys who have been abandoned by their parents and have been exposed to abuse, illness, drugs, and violence." God willing, I will get the incredible opportunity to share the LOVE of Christ with the beautiful children, women and men of Honduras. Through various service projects, VBS, classes and fellowship, our team will have the incredible opportunity to BE with the children, the future and the light of Honduras.

PRAYERS for our team and our hearts as we travel to Talanga, Honduras in August to share the LOVE of Christ in a tangible form.
