Rally for Ryan Shipton
Donativo protegido
On February 19, 2020 our son Ryan was diagnosed with leukemia. Tests indicate he has acute myeloid leukemia. Our world is turned upside down, all who surround him are extremely worried and looking for ways to help.
Ryan will be hospitalized for the duration of his chemotherapy treatment, which can take up to a month or longer depending on his body’s response to treatment. While life makes no guarantees, we are confident Ryan has the strength to defeat this menace known as cancer. He is in the care of the best medical professionals, devoted to seeing him beat this relentless adversary.
Unfortunately Ryan does not qualify for the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA), because he is three months short of eligibility. He does not have enough vacation and sick leave to get him through the entire treatment and recovery process. Since the price of cancer treatment is astronomical for a young adult, we are asking for donations to help defray the costs his insurance will not pay and any other expenses that he might incur.
Please share with your friends so together we may help ease his financial burden, to give him his best chance at beating this inexorable enemy with hope for a financially peaceful future.
