Minority Community Member Attacked

We have learned that one of our elderly minority community members was assaulted, beaten, and suffered permanent life-altering injuries during two home invasions. He has been unable to care for his aging house, which needs many repairs to feel safe. He has been slowly deteriorating both physically and mentally, due to this very violent and tragic incident. We are requesting any assistance from our fellow community members and organizations to ensure that our elderly community member is not overlooked in his critical time of need. He has expressed fear of being victimized again by these violent predators that take advantage of the elderly.

A GoFundMe has been started to help with these repairs but more assistance is in need. We have had volunteers sign up for the clean up of his yard and the outside of his home, but there are many repairs both inside and outside needed. Just recently the Department of Building and Safety issued a notice to correct his home which is in a state of disrepair. With very little assistance, we need the help of community members, the neighborhood council, and local government. Please assist our elderly community member in his time of need.
