"I can dance today!" - Mom
On September 18, 2015, our lives changed. Our family found out that our mother and your dear friend, Pam Kramer at age 64, was diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). ALS, also known at Lou Gehrig's disease, is a dreadful diagnosis, it is a nervous system disease that weakens muscles and impacts physical function.
After diagnosised patients are expected to live 2-5 years...But we are in this for the long game and going for 10+ years!
We are focusing on making every day meaningful, joyful and enjoying the small things like dancing...and ice cream!
Many people have reached out and asked what they can do to help. We invite you to join Pam's Dance Crew!
While there are financial needs at this time we are OK for now, however, in the future we will need a fulltime caregiver, mobility and support equipment, communication equipment etc.
If you wish to donate to this site please do so with the understanding that our intention after meeting any obligations, is to donate the remaining funds to an ALS research organization, such as UC Davis Medical Center where mom is receiving treatment.
We appreciate all the love and support we have received and we will need that as we continue this journey.
We love you all deeply. And are happy that you want to keep dancing with us on Pam's Dance Crew!
