Hello Again Friends! We hope you’ve had a wonderful start to the school year! Last holiday season, thanks to your kindness and generosity, we were able to bring food to the homes of 100 families here at PS 140 Nathan Straus. As Thanksgiving approaches we are hoping to once again help our families in need with your support. Last November, as our last donation rolled in, I looked up at my wife and started to cry. I was truly touched by the outpouring of support for our families and school. I knew what we had accomplished together, as a community, was going to warm many hearts and feed many people within our circle. Last year, we were able to not only purchase 100 turkeys for our families, but thanks each of you, our GoFundMe made the local news, which inspired neighborhood business owners to donate canned goods, corn bread, stuffing & pies to our families. We were able to give them a full Thanksgiving meal. This year, with your support, we hope to double those numbers and feed 200 families, not only feeding the families of our school, but also the families in our surrounding neighborhood who are in need, most especially during the holiday season. From the entire PTA of PS140 Nathan Straus, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts and ask if you are able, to once again help us lift up our community and bring the holiday spirit into their homes.
