The Nashville School of the Arts ' Theatre Conservatory has been invited to bring its production of THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW to perform this March at the Southeastern Theatre Conference in Chattanooga TN.
Since 1949, SETC has hosted its annual convention, growing to become the largest theatre arts convention in the nation. This year's program features more than 4,000 attendees, over 300 workshops, an Education Expo highlighting over 90 colleges and universities, and a job fair with opportunities behind the scenes. This is where it all comes together to create an exciting, dynamic event that truly has a life of its own.
NSA will host forty students at this year's convention, with an unparallelled opportunity for us to learn with and from some of the region's most prominent artists through master classes and workshops. Each day, we'll learn from professionals in the field. Each night, we'll attend performances. And, we'll get to perform our production of THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW.
With $182 conference fee, plus travel, food and housing expenses, we need to fund over $300 per student to host our cast and crew. Nashville School of the Arts is the only arts-integrated magnet high school in Metro Nashville Public Schools. Our mission is to provide a rigorous college preparatory education and the skills to succeed as professionals in the visual and performing arts. Opportunities like these are essential to that work, but they can't happen without the generous support of our community.
