Let's Help the Mau's

Steve & Gwen Mau have lived in their home in Oak Grove, MN, for 30 years. It's the only home their two children have ever known. Early in the morning, Monday, September 4th, they were woken up by their dog Lucy's barking. Steve got up and heard pops and banging noises, and went to the garage. In a matter of minutes, an electrical fire spread through their home. There was no warning from the smoke detectors because there was no smoke in the house, and the fire consumed the home that fast. They were lucky to get out alive with just the clothes on their backs. Their dog, Lucy puggle, was as loyal as they come, and is the real hero and saved their lives. Heartbreakingly, she sacrificed her life to save theirs; the ultimate act of love. Steve acquired burns to his hand, but miraculously, they both made it out alive. There was very little that was salvageable out of their home. We, as friends, loved ones and coworkers are an incredible support network.
