Maia's Recovery Journey

Meet Maia. She's a fun, loving, silly, caring, smart little girl and everything more. On Wednesday Maia told her parents that she could not see colors out of one eye. The next day, Maia could not see her daddy who was picking her up from school. And then it began. She was sent from specialists, to ophthalmologists, from MRI , to neurologists, and finally a Lumbar Puncture. All to try to find out why she now cannot see more than 6inches away from her eyes. Maia has not been home in her warm bed since Friday morning. She is diagnosed with optic neuritis, and is now currently on IV steroids. We still do not know what the cause is and Maia will be spending more days than she would like, in the hospital. Please help Maia's Unpredicted Journey by helping her with the load of medical bills that will soon flood their mailbox. Maybe even before she is able to come home.
