Angels for Brittany (Medical bills)

My name is Brittany I am 21 years of age. When I was born the doctors told my mom I had Microsephili, Cerebral Palsy, Scoliosis ( S form @ 130 degrees) and crushing right organs. At that point the doctors told Mom that I would probably only live to be of 1 years of age , then they said 4 years of age, then 7 years of age. At that point Mom said she didn't want to hear any more because they can't predict her life only God and I could. After a few more years had past we found that I also had Asthma, Brittle Bone Syndrome, Seizures and needed to be fed through a G J-tube (fed through my stomach into my small intestines.) Over the years I have been through some ups and downs but with the love and support of my family, friends and most importantly God I have been blessed with a wonderful life. Up until a month ago I ended up with a bone infection in my lower spine and had to go to Phoenix Childrens Hospital. I ended up having a bad infection with a hole the size of a quarter in my lower spine, that would require surgery but due to the G J-tube feedings I only weighed 48 lbs at 5'2" tall and any advasive surgery would be harmful to me. They couldn't do a skin graft so they had my 'wound' being drained & keeping it closed by using what is called a vac. It basically pulls the drainage & opening close & is a constant vacuum. They only put me under for an hr & cleaned the inside of the ulcer, took some bone scrapes to have further testing. Due to me being so fragile, they didn't want to have me under too long. This was just the 1st of what they are saying will be of many surgeries. They're going to try doing small ones vs longer ones at a time, as not to over stress my body & lungs. By the time I had my second surgery I had developed internal bleeding to which I was diagnosed with Aspriation Pneumonia due to my O2 level being at 5 liters and from vomiting stomach acid. The doctors said I required a blood transfusion and antibiotics. Things just seemed to be getting worse not better. With that Mom had noticed how uncomfortable I had been and how much I had been in pain, she also noticed that my leg was giving off alot of heat and told the Doctors. The next day they did some X-rays and found I had a broken Femur due to my Brittle Bone Syndrome. The next day I started vomiting blood again. They're going to run more test. They started me on the last option of gastric meds & it's not working. I can't even tolerate 2 teaspoons of formula via my J-tube (into small intestines) The only way I can continue to get nutrition is via my central line (iv nutrition) What ultimately would be best for my nutrition is to have surgery to close my stomach off, to stop the vomiting, as well as my stomach acids won't end up in my lungs. Unfortunetly due to my weight thats not an option for me so they have been trying to regulate my feeds so that I won't have to go IV nutrition feeds for the rest of my life. But so far up to date this is not working. Just recently I had to leave the hospital and go to a Step down facility called Los Ninos the Drs are going to keep trying to go slow on my tube feeds for the next wk, wk & a 1/2 to be certain there's no other way to avoid centeral line nutrition for the rest of my life. After 33 days in here I'm only getting 5 teaspoons of feed an hr & still vomiting. Iv'e gone between gaining & losing weight. Not sure where were Mom and I are going to live, if I can only gets nutrition via iv we'll have to move down to Phoenix near the hospital. My ulcer still has a long way to go to heal. The opening has closed some (can't see the bone anymore), but you can still see muscle. They are telling my Mom to take it day by day, easy for them to say.. My mom has been by my side since I came in. I love her but with her being here with me she has not been able to work or pay rent at our home. Just last month she had to ask the local church to help her with rent. We are looking at losing our home but having to relocate 2 hours closer to the hospital with no income. Doctors say it's going to be months before I can go home. Mom is beyound scared yet she never complains nor does she give up. So I ask if you could please donate and help my Mom and I with our Medical bills, rent and possible relocation. It would mean the world to me, any thing you can help with would be a Blessing.                                                                                                                 (I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again In Gods eyes I pass on good will. ~William Penn) I want to thank my Aunt Elaine for being my voice since I am non verbal and can't say whats in my heart but she knows my beautiful smile means I love my family.                                                                                                                                                If your prefer to make a donation through PayPal instead  you can do so through Brittanys Moms PayPal account [email redactado]
