Lend A Hand in Juana Diaz

Many friends have asked what they can do to help our family in Puerto Rico and while we would not typically ask friends or strangers for financial assistance, the situation in Puerto Rico is dire. It's time to set aside our pride and do everything we can to help our family.
As the whole world knows by now, Hurricane Maria descended upon Puerto Rico on September 20th - the most catastrophic hurricane to make landfall on the island in nearly a century. It has been described as apopalyctic. Some of our family members are amomg the nearly 3.5 million Puerto Ricans who are in desperate need of basic necessities. We have 3 aunts, 3 uncles and their families who have been without electricity, running water, medications and the most basic essentials for over a week. They are in danger of being without these items for an extended period of time as the island is expected to remain without electricity for another 4-6 months.
Our family members are in urgent need of generators, food, water, diesel, medications and other basic necessities. The family on the mainland has been gathering funds and resources amongst ourselves but there is still a great need. Puerto Rico has become a cash only economy at this time and we want to help every way we can. Funds raised will be evenly divided among our aunts and uncles to help them and their families. Any contribution you can make to lend a hand will directly impact another human being in a time of critical need. Your help and generosity will be greatly appreciated and we will never be able to thank you enough.
With much love and light,
