An Awesome Journey Towards Adopting

I am excited to annouce that I am running my next half marathon on June 4th, 2016 in Raleigh, NC! I have run over a dozen half marathons, but this will be the 5th race I have decided to fundraise for an awesome cause. I hope you enjoy my story and can help donate to another amazing cause that involves my younger, hardworking sister and fun-loving brother in law.
In September 2013, my sister Elyse married Kevin Kay after meeting in college at DeSales University and dating for several years. After getting married, they were excited to start the next step in their lives...becoming parents. In June of 2014, their doctors began to take tests and told them to try immediately to become pregnant and meet again in 6 months. After finding multiple infertility issues impacting Elyse's ability to get pregnant, the doctors discussed the option of IVF. They soon found out that they had less than a 5% chance of IVF working. In 2015, Kevin and Elyse began to seriously consider adoption and explored different agencies, learning more about this awesome option.
Right now, Elyse and Kevin are taking the steps and classes to becoming adoptive parents to a newborn baby. As they continue this great opportunity to becoming parents, I want to run in honor of them and help them raise money as this process is not cheap but worth every penny!
My current goal is to raise $1,000.00 but would love to reach that and see how far we can get!!! Elyse and Kevin are most appreciative for every dollar that is donated. Remember EVERY DOLLAR HELPS!
