Dear Friends and Neighbors,

My name is Meaghan Atkinson, and my husband Jon and 18 month old daughter Aja live in apartment 7K.  We were devastated to find out about the very difficult situation our amazing Concierge, Kenya, (who is one of Aja's favorite friends; "Kenya" is actually one of her only words so far!) is facing due to Hurricane Sandy.

As you may know, Kenya and her young family were residents of Sheepshead Bay until Hurricane Sandy hit New York, destroying their home and forcing them to narrowly escape through the windows as the waters quickly rose.  As a result, they have been displaced from their home and suffered tremendous losses including most of their clothing, Kenya's car, the children's toys and all of their other possessions.

We here at Olive Park were extremely lucky to have avoided the disaster that so many are faced with.  As a community and in the spirit of the upcoming holidays, the Olive Park Board has set-up this GoFundMe page and ask that you contribute in any way possible to help Kenya and her family as they recover from the aftermath of the storm.   We have not told Kenya about this page, and want to present it to her as a gift from all of us here at Olive Park.
