Going to Globals!
S'more Than You Think, our Destination Imagination Team has qualified for Global Finals in Knoxville, Tennessee. This is a tremendous opportunity for the team to compete against the best US and International teams, and a chance to experience global interaction with students from around the world, throughout various events.
We are asking you to help "Get Us To Knoxville". Approximately 900 Miles from Dallas, our home, each mile you sponsor gets our team that much closer to reaching our goal of competing against the best teams in the world.
Any support you can provide, whether one mile or many is greatly appreciated by the entire team.
About The Team
We are a team of 7 fourth Graders from Brentfield Elementary School, part of the Richardson Independent School District. This is our team's first year competing together, and we were fortunate to win our regional tournament to get invited to the State Tournament in Pflugerville, Texas. Placing 3rd at the State Tournament qualified us to receive an invitation to the Global Finals May 20-25 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
About Destination Imagination
Destination Imagination (DI) is a non-profit, volunteer-led, cause-driven organization. Our purpose is to inspire and equip students to become the next generation of innovators and leaders. Annually, we offer seven new standards-based Challenges in STEM, Improv, Visual Arts, Service Learning, and Early Learning. Each Challenge is open-ended and enables student teams to learn and experience the creative process from imagination to innovation. Academic tournaments take place around the world where teams have the opportunity to present their solutions to trained appraisers. Students have fun and gain confidence in their ability to solve any challenge. In working to solve our Challenges, teams learn 21st century skills (creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, citizenship and courage) to build on their unique strengths.
