Fighting with Annie

Donation protected
There are always those people in life that you meet and instantly put a smile on your face. That's the kind of person my sister-in-law and best friend Annie Watson is. Over a year ago she was diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis (MS) she started experiencing pain and numbness in her legs and arms. The pain became unbearable and the numbness complicated simple every day tasks, at that point she knew that she wouldnt just wake up the next day without the pain and numbness. She finally confided in her family and brought these symptoms to her doctors attention.

She was sent to a neurologist in Buffalo NY. Annie and I drove there praying for answers and hoping for the best and after tests and mri's we were given an answer. We knew her life would never be the same, Annie was diagnosed with Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS). Which basically means the protective layers around the nerves in her brain and spinal chord are being damaged and causing her symptoms, there is no cure currently for this disease.

As discouraging as this diagnosis can be Annie still pushes through all her symptoms and continues to raise her two children, work a full time job and volunteer as an EMT for our local fire department. With daily treatments and medications the symptoms were able to be maintained at first and we all hoped that she would be able to live her life like before. But that hasn't been the case. The treatments have lost effectiveness and the symptoms are worsening month by month.

After some research we have found a procedure called Transvascular Autonomic Modulation (TVAM) and stem cell therapy. This procedure has proven to help people with symptoms of RRMS similiar to Annies and it has given us hope that she will be able to live a normal life again. The procedure is expensive and it will require traveling to a medical facility that can do the procedure. But we have faith that we will be able to raise enough money to get Annie the help she needs.

Please consider donating to our cause of fighting with Annie, and share our fight with your friends and family. Every little bit counts even just a prayer is greatly appreciated.
