Overcoming Spina Bifida

Since birth it has been important that Elaina receive therapeutic intervention due to having been born with spina bifida (myelomeningocele), hydrocephalus, and an Arnold Chiari II malformation. Keeping her in therapy remains important, as she is growing into a young lady and facing added weight, height, and internal changes in her body (bones hardening, muscles tightening etc). The therapies that Elaina benefits the most from are considered alternative and therefore not covered by insurance. In addition to financial need, Elaina and our family appreciate and benefit greatly from prayer and added support in care provided for Elaina's 4 sisters.
We are doing everything we can to provide for Elaina in the ways we see her benefiting the greatest. Our goal has always been to aid her in reaching her fullest God-given potential. We know we can't do it alone, and we recognize what a privilege it is to have the support of our family, friends, and community.
