Olevia CDC: E-Book Store

Your donation will help to fund the transformation of a neglected, former plumbing supply building into a unique electronic book store. After standing in the neighborhood unused, crumbling and nonproductive, The Olevia CDC has re-imagined the use of this building reinforcing the power of literacy and fostering positive interaction within Houston's Fifth Ward community to advance education and literacy in a neighborhood in an upward transition.

In addition, your contributions will provide necessary structural improvements to the building as well as a complete interior overhaul.

Current University of Houston Architecture students are collaborating with Pastor Robert Thomas and Adjunct Instructor Jason Logan working directly with the Olivet Missionary Baptist Church, and the UH Community Design Resource Center led by Susan Rogers.
