In August John and Marian flew to Texas, where a highly skilled surgeon operated on her twice. Unfortunately, things have not turned out well and both of them have endured days and nights of her continuing downward spiral. Marian passed peacefully early this (Thursday, October 26th, 2023) morning with John and Jarret, who arrived the night before holding her hands. Together they will make decisions and plan for cremation in Houston. As you can imagine, expenses are mounting. I know only in part what they are: two and a half months' hotel costs at $160/night, cremation, and return ticket home. Please give what you can to support John in some of his financial burdens.

As many of you know, Marian, was a kind soul with so much knowledge and joy. Her love for her garden, family and community could be deeply felt and seen. She will be missed and remembered often and fondly.
