Send Chavez Kids to Catalina Island

Help Fund the Trip of a Lifetime.  For each student it costs:

$10 - meals for one day
$20 - snorkeling excursion
$30 - food for the entire trip
$40 - down payment
$50 - tide pooling or squid dissection
$75 - lodging
$100 - roundtrip transportation
$350 - entire trip

 We are Cesar Chavez Leadership Academy, a Title I school located in an urban school district in Phoenix, Arizona, where 100% of our students receive free lunch.  As a Leadership Academy our mission is to empower student leaders.  To foster this 4th - 6th grade students will attend a trip of a lifetime to Catalina Island Marine Institute. This educational opportunity will allow students to build new life experiences. For many of our students, this will be their first adventure outside of Phoenix. 
 
Though, many of our families are not able to contribute monetarily, all our families believe in the importance of education.   As a result, the families will be responsible for 25% of their child's total cost. The school will need to provide 75% of the funding. Teachers, students, and families are excited to participate in the fundraising efforts.
