Moebius Syndrome Conference

My name is Celine Harrison and I have Moebius Syndrome. Mobebius Syndrome is a disorder that affects your 6th and 7th nerve in your face so that your jaw muscle does not move. You can sometimes tell when someone has Mobieus Syndrome because their face is distorted.

I was bullied alot in school because of the way I look. Sometimes I still get bullied but I have gotten better at ignoring it. I am a sophomore in high school now and still a little nervous about what people will say about my disability. With that being stated, I would like to attend the Moebius Syndrome Conference in Florida so I can meet other people like me.  

I would also like to attend with my mother so that we can learn different things about how to manage my disability and what new things doctors are coming up with. The only problem is that this conference is in Florida and its very expensive for my family. With the cost of the conference, the airfare, hotel,  and meals, my mom and I need about $3,000 to attend. The regerstration money is due in April of 2018.

I am a hard working, determined young woman who will not let my disability stand in my way of success.  I usually maintain A's and B's in all of my classes and when I fall short, I make sure I put in the extra time to meet my goals.  I would be very grateful for this experience and appreciate any donations you can give.
