Bob Conkey's Medical Expenses

On Friday evening, December 11th 2015, Bob Conkey suffered a severe head injury after a fall on his stairs at his home. As a result, he experienced a traumatic brain injury that also required surgery on December 14.
Many know Bob as a family member, youth sports enthusiast, Boardman resident, and Department Director at D&E Counseling Center, Inc.
Bob has been hospitalized at Mercy Hospital (St. Elizabeth on Belmont Ave) since his accident. He has had surgery to repair a skull fracture and to assure there was no continued bleeding in his head. While he suffered other fractures and injuries as a result of his fall, his head injury and determining any long term effects are the pressing matters. While he has some periods of confusion, he is strong and working hard to rehabilitate from his injury.
Bob is a beloved and long-time staff of D&E and dear friend of all who know him, so we ask that you keep him in your thoughts and prayers as he works to recover from this injury. His family has expressed sincere appreciation for the tremendous outreach of support
While Bob has health insurance from D&E, he and his family will have significant medical expenses associated with this injury, surgery and ongoing treatment and rehabilitation.
