Adaptive Bike for Dan

Dan is a third grade student who loves to laugh, sing, watch hockey, and spend time with others! He is an active member of his community and a proud participant in Special Olympics. Due to Dan's physical limitations, he does not own a bike that is able to meet his needs. Having access to the Rifton Adaptive Tricycle would allow Dan to be an independent rider throughout his community, with both his family and friends. The stabilization provided by the strapping and accessories of this adapted bike would foster increased endurance for Dan. It would allow him to shift his energy from his trunk to his legs in order to hold an upright posture. Having a bike that is tailored to meet his needs would provide Dan the opportunity to ride alongside his peers, participate in community outings, and increase his independence and socialization!
