Bev Downward's Medical Fund

Do you see that sweet face between those precious kids?  That is Bev Downward and her class at the Academy of Ability. Some of you have already heard the news- but some of you have not. Our dear friend, Beverly Downward, has recently received the the unfortunate news that she has an aggressive form of breast cancer. She is being fast-tracked to start chemo 10/13.  Although both the Downwards are employed (and work hard) and they do have insurance, their out of pocket expenses for their deductible and the 'cap' are impossible for them to meet. Since Bev's treatment will go well into 2018, they will incur those expenses again in 3 months! They only recently paid off their youngest son's medical bills from twelve years ago.  The Downwards have not asked for any help but Bev's friends are aware of their need and want to do all we can to relieve this burden from them. We would like to get half of the goal to them as soon as possible. Any contribution you can make will be greatly appreciated.  Bev's treatment is requiring chemo first which will last through February.  Then she will have surgery sometime after that, probably followed by more treatment.
Please share this with your friends and family who may also be able to help. We sincerely appreciate it as do the Downwards.  Also- Go Fund Me has asked that I inform you that Bev's husband, James Downward, is going to be the beneficiary for her account. Since we don't know how Bev will be feeling in the months - it seemed best to let James handle the withdrawing of the funds you have so GENEROUSLY given to them.  Again, we are so very grateful for your kindness to them!
