Veterans of Avalara Disabled American Veterans '23

As we kick-off Veterans Appreciation Month at Avalara, and on Nov 11th, Veteran's Day, it's important to remember the less fortunate members of our Veteran community and offer them our support.

This year, as we have in previous years, the Veterans of Avalara are working in collaboration with our fellow ERGs to raise $15K to support the food banks of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). Due to our office locations, it will be with the DAV locations in Seattle, WA and Durham, NC. This fundraiser will last until December 31, 2023.

The leaders and members of VoA and other ERGs, and many other fellow Avalarians, greatly appreciate your participation in and contribution to this very worthy campaign. In addition, we hope to encourage you to take a moment today and share this message/donation request within your own dept/team (slack or email distribution groups) and ask for their support.

DAV mission - empowering veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity. We accomplish this by ensuring that veterans and their families can access the full range of benefits available to them. Our donated funds will support their local offices to ensure they can meet the food needs of the veterans they support.
