Medical School

This coming August I will begin my journey towards becoming a doctor. I was accepted to Avalon University School of Medicine, which is a medical school that is located in Curacao, an island in the Caribbean. The nice thing about this school is that they provide me with a loan for my tuition and school fees, however the loan does not cover cost of living. The unfortunate part about going to a school outside of the US is that I cannot qualify for a student loan from a bank within the US. This has led me and my mother to save as much money as we can since I found out I was accepted to Avalon. However, since I am unable to work while in school and cannot receive a student loan to help with my cost of living I am asking for help and support from all of my loving family and friends. Your donations will go directly towards my rent, utilities, food and bills while living on the island for two years. The admissions counselor that works at Avalon University informed me that the average cost of living per month is approximately $1,200. Any amount will help me reach my goal. I truly appreciate your support and will never forget that you gave me the resources I needed to chase my dreams and aspirations. You all have given me the courage and strength to pursue my dream of becoming a physician and I don’t know where I would be without you believing in me.
