Cayde’s Medical Expenses

If you know me, you know that my pets mean everything to me. In 2018, Aaron and I adopted this tiny little 6 week old kitten with the most beautiful big green eyes and the cutest meow we have ever heard, I immediately knew then I would have a special bond with this cat. If you have had the pleasure of meeting Cayde, you know he’s very skittish but once you get to know him, he’s a feisty little boy.(not so little anymore!) in September of 2022, I noticed a small freckle in the iris on Cayde’s right eye. We’ve been monitoring it since and after 3 different veterinarian opinions, we are being referred to a feline ophthalmologist at Cornell University Hospital for an initial exam and most likely an ultrasound. At this rate and the progression of the growth in Cayde’s eye, it is very likely he will need surgery to remove his eye and prevent any further growth and it turning into melanoma. With just having a baby, money is extremely tight right now and we are barely staying afloat. We know times are tough for everyone right now and we understand most are not in a position to donate, we just ask that you share this page in the hopes of helping us save our little boy’s life.
