On Dec. 2nd, 2017, Ruston La. Varsity soccer player Nnamdi Nwoha collapsed in Sudden Cardiac Arrest during the Bossier Bearkat Classic soccer tournament. CPR was started, and he was transported to the closest hospital. He was revived in the ambulance, was stabilized and transferred to a pediatric ICU, then flown to Children's Hospital in Dallas Tx. later that night. He remained in critical condition on a ventilator. Thousands prayed for his healing, and the prayers were answered! On Monday, Dec. 4th, Nnamdi woke up! He has no recall of the events that lead to his hospitalization, but is now awake, alert, sitting up and joking with his doctors. A TRUE CHRISTMAS MIRACLE!
He is expected to require some rehabilitation and other followup care, and Dallas Tx. is a long drive from Ruston La. We would like to bring together our entire soccer community, on ONE TEAM with ONE GOAL, to support Nnamdi and his family through this time. We ask that all area soccer teams, sports clubs and other organizations consider contributing to this cause.
