Alex’s Road To Recovery

Donativo protegido
Dear family, friends, and kind supporters,

On Tuesday, December 12th, Alex experienced a life-altering event. While working out, he suddenly suffered from a severe headache and began vomiting. He was rushed to Baptist Hospital, where an emergency CT scan revealed a bleed caused by an arteriovenous malformation (AVM) rupture. An arteriovenous malformation (AVM) is a rare, abnormal tangle of blood vessels in the brain or spine. It can rupture, leading to bleeding in the brain, which can be a life-threatening situation.

Alex underwent a 6-hour emergency craniotomy, and thankfully, the surgery was successful. He is currently in the ICU at Baptist Hospital, on the road to recovery. He will need extensive therapy once he is discharged from the hospital and should make a full recovery in about a year, according to his team of physician's. As a dedicated registered nurse who loves his job, this unexpected health crisis has taken a toll on his well-being. This time has been very difficult for Alex to understand, as he has always been a healthy and active guy.

At this time, we are asking for prayers, love, and support for Alex. If you would like to donate to help with medical bills and other expenses as this will relieve some of the pressures of existing and future financial obligations. We are grateful for the immense support from our family and friends, and any contribution, big or small, will make a significant difference in helping Alex regain his health and return to the job he loves.

Sincerely,

The Baldeon Family
