Funeral Expenses

Donativo protegido

Imagine you lost your father 6 years ago and just lost your mother last week.  You're 31 years-old and you've worked your entire life to afford/borrow for your undergraduate/graduate school education, all while supporting yourself and those you love.   All you want to do is give your mother the basic funeral she deserves but you literally have nobody to turn to for financial assistance.  You don't want to ask for help because that's just not who you are, and regardless of the fact that you won't show it, any sane person knows that the emotional and financial strain is just too much for one person to shoulder.  That's the situation of my friend and colleague, Niles.  I realize we all have our expenses and life is by no means cheap, but this is an opportunity to help a real person in real need, not just making a donation to a faceless organization.  There is no minimum donation.  I know for a fact that every single dollar would be immensely appreciated by a truly good person.  I would call it good karma.  Will it come back to you in a way beyond just feeling good about a random act of kindness?  I don't know.  But in a world saturated with the opposite, I think random acts of kindness are, cumulatively, huge steps in the right direction.  If you can give a few bucks, great.  If not, I understand - and so does Niles.  Thanks.
