Hi, My name is Sodjnin. I was born and raised in Benin Republic. If anyone was raised in Africa and especially a country like Benin, then they will understand my tears while I write this message. Recently a childhood friend of mine who is a practicing Medical Doctor has contacted me for help. Not for himself. No far away from that, but for his patients dying under his care because of the lack of medical supply. More specifically, he is seeing a rise in cardiomyopathy and cardiac failure in the area of ketou ( Clinic St Pierre de Ketou ). We don't know why. We don't know how? Could it be a public health issue? They don't even have something as little as an echocardiogram to confirm the diagnoses and know what type of myopathy they are dealing with. All we know is that it is now also affecting newborns. Babies are also dying!!!! We are talking about newborns. So please, I am begging every one of you guys that can help me make a difference to help. We are looking to just buy a small portable echocardiogram machine, which some of you guys know to be the initial step for diagnosis and treatment. I am making my way to Benin in the next coming month and will personally deliver this machine and other supplies I am able to afford. Also, I have made it my goal to raise awareness with the minister of health in Benin to help evaluate this matter as it seems to also be a public health issue. Please help a life.
