Hello, my name is Lamis. I’m 22 years old and a third-year dental student. I was supposed to be in my fourth year now—wearing a white coat and shaping my future with my own hands. But poverty and harsh circumstances stole my childhood dream and left me watching it fade away.

My husband Mohammed and I created this link to support our three children.: Ashraf, who is four years old; Yazan, two and a half; and Omar, my baby born during the war, now one year and two months old.

My children cry from hunger. I have no flour, no food to ease their pain.

Yazan suffers from a severe skin . He is in urgent need of medical treatment and proper nutrition.

Omar is still a baby. He needs milk and diapers, but I have no milk, only his constant crying that fills the room and breaks my heart.

I have no shelter—not even a tent to protect my children from the cold and hunger. All I have is a heart that breaks a little more each day as I watch them suffer. There is no safety, no stability, no food, no hygiene, no medicine. The war has destroyed our lives, displaced us, and left us in unbearable famine.

A bag of flour costs over $500, and I don’t even have one dollar.

My husband is unemployed, and his car was destroyed in the war. He cannot provide for me or our children. I created this link in desperation—to help feed my children.
