Nadine Meads

A 12 year old boy was taken to hospital in serious condition after he was hit by a school bus in north Edmonton Wednesday morning.

That was the headline...

On the morning of March 4th, 2020, Nadine Meads received what she has described as the worst call she’s ever gotten. Her youngest son had been hit by a bus while walking to school right here in Castle Downs.

He was rushed to the Stollery, where he received emergency surgery to repair two broken legs.  

His road to recovery will be long but with help, we hope to ease some of the additional burdens Nadine will face while she spends endless hours commuting between the hospital and her other boys at home. 

Some of you may not know this but Nadine has been an active member in her community for quite some time. She is the current Past President of the Dunluce Community League, the current Committee Chair for the Castle Down Variety Show, an active member of the North Side Hub and an overall good person. 

She has spent years helping the community and now it’s our turn to give back to her.  

Parking fees, gas for the car, groceries for the kids at home, on top of  time off work and lost wages for the foreseeable future. These are just some of the ways your contribution is needed.
