PLEASE HELP BUILD THE HICC MASJID
The African Muslim Community of Harlem in New York City comes to request your urgent assistance regarding the construction of our Harlem Islamic Cultural Center (HICC).
We purchased the building located at 108 East 128th Street, between Park and Lexington Avenues, in February 2009.
We broke ground in June 2012 with a cost of construction estimated at $675,000.00.
After 4 years, we were able to raise $400,000.00 to get a good chunk of the project done. Now we are stuck because of lack of fund, to finish the project.
The Masjid is functioning with only one bathroom for men and women.
We need to raise $275,000.00 to finish the project, and all money raised will be used on the items below.
On the first floor: the minbar, a bathroom for disabled people , the AC and heating system, a media room, the main entrance ramp, the door and emergency exits.
On the second floor: the women’s praying area, bathrooms and wudu area, and an office.
In the basement: the men’s bathrooms and wudu area, the Quranic School, mechanical room.
