Jamies sanctuary

Hello my name is Hazel ,

My purpose of this go fund me page is to help jamies sanctuary with funds to help them help more people with suicide ,addiction and those who are struggling with there mental health .

Ramsay lost his granda 12th April last year and wasn't coping with the loss very well .Ramsay had a very close bond with his granda he was more of a father fiqure than a granda to ramsay.Everyday ramsay was with his granda helping down from street or doing errands for him .Ramsay sat with his granda everyday allday until he took his last breath on this earthplane.

Ramsay began to go out more often to pubs in bathgate and drinking, taking drugs along with everyone else .

. This is a road to destruction and was detrimental to his mental health ... .

Drugs seems to be normalised between youths to a degree which is frightening!....

The drugs that hinder our streets are rife and take too many life's and I was terrified I would lose my son ,it was a terrible ordeal we went through as a family .

Watching your firstborn son under the influence was heartbreaking to watch! As a community we need to do more.

Never in a million years would I have thought any my children Would be in such a mess through drugs and drink .

And it all started through the pain Ramsay felt he was overwhelmed and couldnt cope .

Ramsay is very deep and doesn't like to talk of his emotions to people not even me at times .

I had suggested grief counselling last year but ramsay refused ,I tried to help my son anyway I could .I reached out to a few places for help and nothing was enough and the timescale was not fast enough I needed help now ! As his mother watching on it brought so much stress and worry ,the effect it has not only on parents but siblings and other family members is a living nightmare.

My son I was seeing wasnt my Ramsay the drink and drugs were taking over him .

Ramsay has been admitted to hospital a few times with suicidal thoughts and I sat with him for 12 hours in a & e to be told they don't have a bed for him he would need to seek help from other avenues which didn't help first time round,He needed help before this drug took his life . To walk away from hospital knowing our local hospital failed my son is a disgrace i was desperate for someone to help.

Ramsay was doing things out of character,hurt people and that's not even in his nature he's a kind laddie who would help anyone.

Drugs and drink are a false sense of security ,

He just got caught up in the wrong people and wrong environments..

The last time Ramsay was admitted to hospital the paramedics called me Ramsay had severe psychosis, racing heartbeat, felt unwell and was in a bad way ....from that moment a switch turned on and ramsay finally seen he had a problem he said "mum if I don't get help at jamies sanctuary today I won't be here tomorrow."

Thankfully jamies sanctuary responded to ramsay so fast and before Ramsay knew it he was being picked up by them..

And they have been such a tower of strength to ramsay and myself,helped in more ways than one .

The work they do is amazing and should be recognised for all there hard work they give to the community..Ramsay is on day 42 No drink and No drugs and I couldn't be prouder of him.

He is going from strength to strength each day and that is thanks to the wonderful Debbie-anne Marriot and her team of volunteers for saving my sons life .

I will never beable to thank them enough ,I'm so grateful.

I decided I wanted to give something back to Jamie's Sanctuary. Im offering readings of a donation minimum of £15.

Or to offer the go fund me page for those who would prefer to helpby donation. This fantastic charity who do so much and don't get any help to fund it and yet this is such a vital lifeline around the community ❤️.

Please help me help jamies sanctuary no matter how small it all helps .No matter any donation is appreciated what these beautiful people do to help others is tremendous ❤️...let's all come together and help them help more of all the local youths away from all the drugs and alcohol and help them manage there mental health that they can all get caught up with ...
