ASKING FOR HELP: Saw dad at the mortuary this morning and we found out the cremation has to be paid for out of pocket. IF the VA decides to reimburse us it will take from 5 to 13 months and it can be anywhere from $300-$2000. Dad was an honorably discharged Army Vet who did 4 tours in Vietnam. We need to come up with $2000 by Wednesday to have him cremated (on top of the transportation and care fees) or they will start charging us a $75 storage fee each day he is there. I cannot bear the thought of his body staying in there any longer. Anything helps, if you cannot donate please share. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has donated already.
