Donations are being accepted in loving memory of our spunky, hilarious, handsome, adorable little man Kaden who passed away unexpectedly on August 3rd.

On Friday, July 31st, while visiting his father in Alabama Kaden began choking. His father attempted to free his airway but was unsuccessful.  This was later discovered due to the fact the candy was not in his air way but lodged in his throat pushing agaisnt his airway. He was rushed to the first hospital where he was stabalized and medivaced to a second hospital. On the medivac his lungs began to fill with fluid and clogged his breathing tube. During this time he went 15 mins without oxygen and his heart stopped.

He was admitted to the Children's of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham where they did everything in their power to help Kaden. Unfortunately, the extended oxygen deprivation had caused enough damage that the doctor's were unable to find any brain activity and he was officially declared brain dead on Monday morning, August 3rd. Later that day Kaden was allowed to move on and find peace.

Throughout this entire process Kaden seemed peaceful and showed no signs of distress or pain. Sarah & Shay said they felt that Kaden had waited for them. They also want everyone to know that nothing could have changed this outcome, that it was just his time.
