Hi, I'm Lisa Durham, the Assistant Dean of Strategic Initiatives and Community Engagement forThe College of Social Work at the Ohio State University. Our students raised the issue to us and wanted to act. As a result, we are raising money to purchase water for the residents of Flint, Michigan.
We believe, with your help, we can make a difference in the lives of families who do not have clean water to drink, cook with, or bathe in.
We will be collecting financial donations (and donations of water) through March 15. A group of social work students and faculty and staff will deliver the water to Catholic Charities in Flint during the week of March 15th.
I, Lisa Durham, am withdrawing the funds into my personal bank account and writing checks to the Certified Charities.
