help me gain my independence.

My name is Daylin Salisbury, and i'm a sophomore at Kentlake highschool. Please Help me become independent by being able to drive.  When I was 9 years old I was diagnosed with Becker's Muscular Dystrophy, which is a muscule disease that causes my muscles to worsen over time, in the 8th grade I fractured my femur, which caused my muscles in my legs to become very weak because I wasn't able to walk with the toe-to-hip cast. After the cast came off, I started doing physical therapy which has helped a lot (I can now stand and walk a few feet with help), but I haven't been able to walk by myself since the 8th grade.  I've always dreamt of driving. Now that I'm 16 years old and have my permit, I'm legally allowed to drive, but physically can't. As some of you may know, I'm really looking at getting a truck. Why a truck you ask? Well it looks a lot better than a minivan (which I don't want to drive) and I feel with the modifications it will help me now and in the future. In order for me to be able to drive I have to get special vehicle modifications such as hand controls for gas and brake, reduced-effort steering to make steering much easier, a lift to get myself into the truck, and a scooter-lift that puts my scooter into the back. All of this equipment totals to about $20,000. We are looking at getting a newer truck that's in great mechanical condition so it will last me quite a while because we are putting so much into a truck with modifications, so whatever the truck costs, add 20,000 to the total. A driving rehabilitation specialist took me on a drive in his car that had hand controls already installed, he gave me a 10/10 on my driving skills and knowledge of the road after getting 100% on my knowledge test for my permit. The result of me getting a truck is that I will be able to hang out with friends much easier and more often and I can do more as well as go to college and join the workforce without having my parents taking me everywhere.
