Abigail is battling a severe lung condition caused by systemic lupus and is awaiting a life-saving double lung transplant. Over the last few months, her condition has worsened and her medical team feels it’s time she relocates to Toronto to be closer to specialized care.

As Abigail prepares for this next phase in her healing, one of the biggest challenges is the financial strain. Abigail will need to cover living expenses in downtown Toronto while she awaits transplant surgery and during her recovery (approximately a year). She also faces costs associated with medical equipment and necessities not covered by insurance.
